WAMSS Newsletter - Spring 2026 Print

President's Report

Happy Spring WAMSS members!  The flowers are in full bloom in southern WI, and everything is green again.  Spring is always one of my favorite times of year, as it means that winter is finally over and summer is just around the corner.  As I think about springtime, I also think about a time of new beginnings.  New things can be scary, but they can also be exciting!  Whether you are working on implementing a new credentialing platform, studying for a NAMSS certification exam, or taking on a new responsibility/task at work, remember to go in with a positive mind and a willingness to learn new ways of thinking.  If you do this, you will be unstoppable!  “Where flowers bloom, so does hope” – Lady Bird Johnson

Closing Thoughts

The first few months of 2026 have certainly flown by fast!  I am sure that I am not the only MSP that is already thinking ahead to the crazy, busy summer that is coming soon, filled with all the new physician Residents and Fellows, as well as the recently graduating advanced practice providers.  I try not to borrow worries from the future but take each moment to enjoy the day as it comes.  “Don’t worry about being worried.  You’re heading out on an adventure, and you can always change your mind along the way and try something else” – Tracy Kidder

I encourage you to take time to enjoy the day and savor the great work that you are doing.  Get outside your comfort zone, because that is where real growth happens!

Is there something that you would like to see added to our quarterly newsletter?  Have you learned something new over the past few months in your Medical Staff Professional or Provider Enrollment role?  Our membership would love to learn from you!  Articles can be 2-3 paragraphs long and would be a great addition to the newsletter.  Please submit your article to me via email at [email protected].

Yours in humble service,

Maggie Fuchs, CPMSM, CPCS

WAMSS President, 2025-2026
